About Bundala National Park
Bundala is a UNESCO-listed Ramsar wetland of coastal lagoons, salt pans and thorn scrub — one of the most important bird sanctuaries in South Asia. Greater flamingos arrive in their thousands each winter, alongside elephants, crocodiles and the country's rich lowland bird life.
