About Knuckles Mountain Range
The Knuckles Range — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — is a compact wilderness of 34 sharp peaks north-east of Kandy, so-called because the ridge line resembles a clenched fist. Cool cloud forest, high-altitude grasslands ('patanas'), hidden waterfalls and dozens of endemic species reward multi-day treks.
