About Minneriya National Park

Minneriya National Park protects a 3rd-century reservoir where, from July to October, Asia's largest concentration of wild elephants gathers to drink, bathe and socialise. Known as 'The Gathering', it is ranked among the world's greatest wildlife spectacles.
