Pasikuda (Passikudah) and its neighbour Kalkudah are twin crescent bays on the east coast famous for having one of the world's shallowest continental shelves — you can wade out for hundreds of metres in waist-deep turquoise water. Powder-white sand, big resorts and total calm make it a family favourite.
