Just outside Negombo, Angurukaramulla Raja Maha Vihara is one of the region's most visited temples. Step through the vast dragon-mouth gateway to find a 6 m seated Buddha, a colourful reclining Buddha and vividly painted Jataka murals telling the life stories of the Buddha.
