Negombo Dutch Fort
Built by the Portuguese in 1672 and rebuilt by the Dutch, only the gatehouse and part of the ramparts survive today — but the fort's location on the lagoon spit, beside the fishing harbour, makes it an atmospheric spot to walk at sunset.
