Nine Arch Bridge
A 1921 colonial railway viaduct curving through emerald jungle — Sri Lanka's most-photographed bridge.
About this experience
Nine Arch Bridge
Built entirely of brick and cement without a single steel girder, the Nine Arch Bridge is an engineering marvel of the British era. The most spectacular moment is when the blue Ella train hisses across the arches with the jungle steaming below — happens roughly every two hours.
