About Pidurangala

Rising directly opposite Sigiriya, Pidurangala Rock offers the postcard view of Lion Rock. A 5th-century forest monastery, a reclining Buddha and a final boulder scramble reward the pre-dawn climb — one of the most rewarding hikes in Sri Lanka.
