About this experience
Pidurangala Royal Cave Temple
Legend holds that when King Kashyapa built his palace atop Sigiriya, he moved the monks living there to Pidurangala. The tranquil cave temple at the base of the rock includes a large reclining brick-and-plaster Buddha.
