Adam's Peak (Sri Pada) climb
Adam's Peak, or Sri Pada, is revered by Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims and Christians for the 'sacred footprint' at its summit. From December to May thousands of pilgrims and travellers climb the lantern-lit staircase overnight to catch the sunrise, when the perfect pyramid shadow of the peak is cast across the plains below.
