Royal Botanical Gardens
Sri Lanka's finest botanical gardens were established in 1821 by the British. Highlights include the Orchid House with 300+ species, the Great Lawn, the Avenue of Royal Palms and a giant Java fig whose canopy covers 2,500 square metres.
