Temple of the Sacred Tooth
The Sri Dalada Maligawa enshrines the Buddha's left canine tooth — Sri Lanka's holiest relic. The temple is a working complex of golden roofs, drummers and devotees; daily puja ceremonies happen at dawn, midday and dusk, when the inner chamber opens briefly to view the casket.
