You will be met on arrival and driven to Negombo just 20 minu from the Katunayake Bandaranaike international airport. Bustling Negombo town is a historically interesting place, strongly influenced by the Catholic Church. The narrow strip of land to the South of the lagoon and the many canals make for good exploring.

Today you will be driven to the Cultural Triangle - the ancient heart of Sri Lanka. From here you can explore Polonnaruwa, Dambulla, & Sigiriya. In the morning visit the beautiful Dambulla cave temple, the largest cave monastery in the country with a history going back to the 1st century BC. Spend the afternoon exploring and set off to climb the spectacular rock fortress of Sigiriya, with its rocky abode & water gardens. Sigiriya is famous for its toadstool of golden-hued granite, protruding into the searing blue sky from a hot, flat wilderness of scrubland, which is transformed in the rainy season to a water garden. In the 5th century King Kashyapa domesticated the Lions Rock, by building a palace atop its summit. Sigiriya commemorates some of the turbulence of Sri Lanka’s history.

First you will visit the Ancient city of Polonnaruwa an ancient royal capital, with its well-preserved 12th century ruins & impressive stone culture recalls an inspired past. (Optional: A great way to explore the ancient city is on a bicycle – these can be rented with an early appointment) Evening enjoy a jeep safari in the Minneriya National Park. Dominated by the ancient Minneriya Tank this national park has plenty of scrub and light forest in its 8890 hectares to provide shelter for its toque macaques, sambar deer, leopards and Elephants – to name a few. In addition, an enormous number of birds ( some 160 species) have been spotted at Minneriya, including endemics such as the Sri Lankan hanging parrot and the crimson-fronted barbet. End the day with a swim at the hotel pool and with a lovely dinner.

Today morning you may proceed to climb the Pidurangala Rock is adjacent to Sigiriya Rock and is the best viewing spot of Sigiriya Rock as it is only slightly lower. Pidurangala is a popular spot for sunrise as you can enjoy 360-degree views of not only the valleys but also Sigiriya Rock.
Afternoon a walk in Hiriwaduna will introduce you to farmers and fishermen who live simple lives in the midst of nature and wildlife. Highlights include a catamaran boat trip on the lake and helping prepare a simple lunch in the traditional method. This will be followed by a walk through dense shrub forests that are home to many forest birds and other wildlife.
Thereafter proceed to the hotel in Sigiriya for your overnight stay. Simply relax at the hotel.

Nilaveli-10 miles away are the finest beach in Trincomalee starting at Uppuveli- 5 miles away extending all the way to Nilaveli. Pigeon Island is a great place for Diving, Snorkeling and sea bathing.
Velgam Vehera – 6 miles away near Periyakulam Tank is the Temple known to Hindus as Natanar Kovil dating from the 2nd C.A.D. After the Chola Invasion Hindu contributions helped restore it as a Buddhist Temple. There are 7 Hot Spring at Kanniyai just 5 miles away on the Anuradhapura road. Thiriyai Vata-da-ge is 30 miles to the North of Trincomalee and is one of the best monuments in Sri Lanka.

Arugam Bay is in Sri Lanka's Eastern Province and is recognized as one of the main surfing destinations on the island. There are some nice beaches here, a good range of accommodation and it's possible to swim year-round. Arugam Bay also acts as the gateway to Yala East National Park (Kumana).
Arugam Bay organizes international surfing competitions, and surfers from around the world come and participate. During the high season, which is from April to October beach parties are organized by the hotels in the area. During the low season things get very quiet around Arugam Bay.

Get down from Nanu Oya station.. you will be pick up from there at the station and then drive to kandy On the way you are passing Tea plantations, factories, and waterfalls. Stop at the Glenloch or Labookele Tea Factory to see and photograph the processing of tea. See Ramboda Falls (329 feet high) on the way. and check in to your hotel in kandyvisit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and proceed to the city center for a cultural show late in the evening.
