Built in 1931 by Sir Thomas Lister Villiers as a Kent-style country house, Adisham Bungalow is now home to a Benedictine monastery. Set among the misty hills 4 km from town, its gardens, chapel and small shop selling monk-made jams and cordials make a peaceful half-day trip.
