About 15 km from Welimada, Bomburu Ella (also known as Perawella Falls) is the widest waterfall in Sri Lanka, made up of a cluster of smaller cascades tumbling down a broad rock face. The source is a lake high in the central highlands; the surrounding trails through tea and forest are lovely.
